Spoiler alert, it’s worth it!
A cozy gem close to the station with delicious breakfast options! The staff was incredibly friendly, and I loved my beautifully decorated room, complete with yukata. After a long day of biking, the public bath was a perfect treat. A fantastic spot for exploring nearby attractions!

The breakfast options were a winner! I dove into a delicious hot dog/sausage bread and fresh orange juice that was out of this world. Plus, the Queen Room was spacious and elegantly decorated, making it a cozy retreat after a day of culinary explorations in Fukuyama.
While I had a great stay overall, it would have been nice to enjoy an ofuro bath since that’s a favorite among many Japanese guests. Also, a larger breakfast would have really hit the spot. Plus, adjusting the shower temperature could be a bit finicky, requiring some patience.

missingWrote a review on Nov 10navigation inconvenience
Navigating the property was a hassle, as the room was located in a different building from where check-in occurred, adding an inconvenient trek, especially in poor weather. There was also a significant lack of instructions for using high-tech features in the room, particularly the whirlpool tub's electronic controls, which led to some confusion that impacted our experience. One morning, we even ended up with no hot water, likely due to improper adjustments from not knowing how to use the controls correctly.

The Anchor Hotel in Fukuyama provided a cozy atmosphere with excellent amenities. I loved the spacious queen room that was impeccably clean and beautifully decorated. The indoor yukata added a fun touch to my stay. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night. Breakfast included delicious hot dog sausage bread and outstanding freshly squeezed orange juice—such a nice way to start the day! The location near the train station was incredibly convenient for exploring the area. However, navigating to the dining area was a bit inconvenient, as I had to walk to a different building. Also, adjusting the water temperature in the shower could be tricky. I often had to wait for it to stabilize after changing it. Still, I found the stay delightful overall and would consider returning.

The location is excellent, just steps from the train station, which makes exploring nearby attractions a breeze. Rooms are well-sized, featuring lovely bathrooms and high-quality amenities. Breakfast options included a delicious vegan sandwich, along with outstanding orange juice. However, the need to walk to a different building for the lobby was slightly inconvenient, and I noticed a gap under the bathroom door that could compromise privacy.

great stay but lacking in check-in clarity
The room was super cozy and impeccably clean, providing ample space for my 24-inch luggage. I loved the beautiful hotel-branded indoor wear yukata, so unique that I regretted not purchasing a set. The location was excellent, just minutes away from the train station, and I enjoyed a lovely city view during my stay.
Check-in was a bit unconventional.

I planned to stay one night, but I ended up staying four nights. The location was a short walk to the train station. I enjoyed the light and airy room with a comfy queen bed. The breakfast was simple but satisfying. The staff were friendly and helpful. They're open to assist anytime. It felt comforting to be in a place where I could unwind after biking all day.
Shower water temperature was hard to adjust. A bigger breakfast option would have been nice.

The hotel's location is perfect, just a stone's throw from the train station, making exploration a breeze. The amenities were top-notch, especially the newly added options available by the front desk, and the indoor yukata truly added a special touch. Single cozy escape
The breakfast here was really good. They had freshly squeezed orange juice and seasonal items that made it a standout, like the delicious hot dog they offered. I also loved the little amenities in my room. A small fridge and chilled water made a big difference after a long day.
It wasn’t inexpensive, but it still felt worth it to me.
